Accreditations

Accreditations

Laboratory testing involves multistep processes that are susceptible to multiple sources of error. These errors can lead to significant result variability and decreased accuracy. Laboratory accreditation is a widely accepted process of evaluation of a laboratory’s quality, performance, reliability, and efficiency. It is a means to promote and enforce better quality in laboratory testing and to ultimately reduce testing errors. Accreditation also increases the credibility of the results and services delivered by a laboratory through providing recognition that it is compliant with quality and competence standards considered necessary for accurate, reliable, and safe testing.

ISO 17025 Accreditation

NTRC is the largest laboratory in field of textiles in the region and is accredited as per ISO 17025 by Pakistan National Accreditation Council (Accreditation Certificate Number: LAB 185), that is an authorized accreditation body in the region. ISO/IEC 17025 enables laboratories to demonstrate that they operate competently and generate valid results, thereby promoting confidence in their work both nationally and around the world. It also helps facilitate cooperation between laboratories and other bodies by generating wider acceptance of results between countries. Test reports and certificates can be accepted from one country to another without the need for further testing, which, in turn, improves international trade.
